The Great FLAT Auction!

Dear all

On behalf of FLAT, we would like to thank you all for coming to our information evening on Tuesday.  It was good to see so many people supporting the fens, its villages and its wildlife.

As you will be aware, we announced that we are holding an auction on 12th of April at the Marshland Jubilee Hall and it starts at 7pm.  What we do need from you is donations for the auction so that the FLAT fund can be increased and that we are ready to deal with whatever the future may hold.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

In order for the auction to be a brilliant success we will need everyone who has an interest in protecting this landscape to donate items.  We all have things in our houses that we don’t like or need and please remember; one man’s junk is another’s treasure.

Suggestions for auction donations:

Toys; ornaments; books; costume jewellery; garden equipment; plants for the garden; small furniture; crockery; glassware, silverware; unwanted Christmas presents; a business may wish to donate its goods or services; whatever you think you might want to donate…

Please call the dedicated FLAT phone on 07789 524850 to arrange to bring your items to us well in advance of 12th of April.   Also, we would ask that the items, if small, are placed in boxes to ensure that they can be transported easily. 

Remember, this auction is for the FLAT fund, not for personal gain so if you have anything that is particularly valuable and you want to sell it for personal profit, then this isn’t the auction for you. 

As well as the auction, we need all need to pull together and come up with ideas for fundraising.  It is not up to the FLAT committee alone to protect your living environment; it is up to you too.  If you want to raise money, have an idea or want to donate money, then please call the FLAT phone (07789 524850) to discuss your thoughts as EVERY PENNY COUNTS.
