Fenland Landscape Against Turbines

The Campaign

In March 2007, some residents of Marshland St James received a leaflet through their door concerning a proposal for 26 wind turbines. The residents closest to the proposed area did NOT receive a leaflet. The leaflet was distributed by 14 local people known as "The Renewable Energy Consortium of Marshland St James"

The scale of this proposal means that the Department of Trade and Industry will be involved in the planning process. If our local planners refuse permission there will have to be a public inquiry, which we need.

The whole issue of wind turbines is politically driven by Government policy. It is their aim to install these industrial power stations across our landscape.

Every campaign costs money to run. A similar campaign in North Devon cost over £11,000! Help raise funds for FLAT. All donations are welcome! Click here for details on fund raising
