PRESS RELEASE 10th October 2008THE PLANNING APPLICATIONFLAT have today learned that Marshland Wind Farm Ltd have finally submitted their planning application to desecrate Marshland Fen by trying to build nineteen massive industrial wind turbines in the area. The emphasis of our campaign must now be to formally object to this proposal via the most appropriate route ie the Borough Council of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk. We would again remind people that while the formal planning has been submitted to BERR (formally the Department of Trade and Industry), the application will also go before the local Borough Council as consultees and if it is rejected there will have to be a public enquiry. We at FLAT understand that Kings Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council have not yet been consulted but once they are notified of the application they will have 4 months to make their decision. We at FLAT will keep everyone fully informed of developments and will be holding another public meeting in the near future as well as issuing other information explaining how to formally object to this proposal. FLAT can be contacted via our website ie www.flat-group.co.uk. The FLAT Committee |
