Fenland Landscape Against Turbines

The Proposal

UPDATE: March 2008

A revised plan has now been made available, showing 19 wind turbines of 139 meters high. Click here for a copy of the latest plan

A number of the consortium members have now pulled out of the development and will not therefore allow the wind turbines to be built on their land (see front page of the EDP dated 9th May).  The remaining members of the consortium say that the proposal will now have to be scaled down.  However, we have no confirmation of what “scaled down” actually means and we would caution people not be lulled into a sense of false security.  Even if the plan ends up smaller than originally proposed, if planning permission is granted it will set a precedence and we are likely to find them springing up everywhere!

Details of those involved

Please e-mail, write or phone all of those involved (as often as you think appropriate) so that they are left in doubt that you oppose this development.  However, please keep your comment polite but firm and do not resort to abusive or threatening behaviour!
